Ok what is the deal with SPCs? I thought you had to be a student to get one of these? Seems everyone has one though...

My bank (BMO) sends me an SPC free every year because I am one of those perpetual students (thank god it's my last year!). I think there are ways around it. I do get asked for student ID once and awhile because I am older than the general target user, but I think a lot of people get their children to get them, and then use it when their children are around. I use it at Zeller's a lot, and The Source, but that's about it. I had a really big shop at Zeller's maybe 3 weeks ago and it saved me $9, the price of the card if you buy it, so it works quite well.
There used to be a VIP SPC and it was available for a higher price to anyone, rather than just students. That's what most of the SC'ers had I believe, unless they were using their childs. Personally I love the thing and will be sad to see it go when I am done my degree this year.

you can buy them online, at SDM, and lot of the places that are part of the discount also sell them. I believe they are $9 (not sure if there is tax on them).
