Luggage Brag

So my hubby and I are taking a trip to Chicago to visit his parents for US Thanksgiving (woohoo Black Friday shopping here I come!!! LOL!). We will usually just borrow my parents luggage, however this year my parents decided to go on a cruise that very same week so they will need it.

So we needed to go out and buy some of our own. Instead of going cheap like we usually would I wanted some high quality luggage that will last us years. Thankfully I have this site and remembered seeing someone post the 15% off luggage at The Bay in the blog. And one type of luggage or another is almost always on sale there so we printed off a copy and went shopping.

We first went to the location across the street from us (Bramalea City Centre), I fell in love with a set, but it was missing the largest piece. My husband also found a set, but we wanted to buy them all at once on one receipt so we decided to go to another location nearby that was bigger (Mississauga Square One).

We go there and find my full set (yay!) and go to grab his, they are missing the carry on size. Ugh...Oh well, we can grab that last piece at the other store with another printed coupon the next day.

So we pay and as we are going home I look at the receipt and keep thinking we paid too much, but I could not remember the prices exactly that were posted at the Bramalea location. So I kept the receipt in my purse.

When we went back to grab my husband's last piece we compared the posted prices to what we paid and I was right we over paid about 40 bucks to what was posted. Turns out it was a print error, but the woman we dealt with was super nice and gladly honoured the displayed pricing, did a full return and repurchase for us.

So in the end of my long long story...lol...we paid:

Air Canada luggage x 3 sizes
Ricardo Delmar luggage x 3 sizes
Total after tax = $502.32

Savings on the receipt - $1065.46
