Hi everybody (Hi Dr. Nick! -- I really can't help making that joke every time I do an intro post). :) My name is Stefany and I'm new to couponing.
To get it out of the way, yes I was inspired to start getting into couponing due to Extreme Couponing. :) I'm very much aware that a lot of those situations aren't applicable up here, though. But if I can make some savings when I do my shopping, I'll be all the happier!
My goal isn't so much to save as much money possible, but rather to learn good spending habits. I've learned pretty nothing from my parents (no couponing, no shopping for deals, no left-overs in the fridge or making big meals at a time to space out for the week for lunches, etc.) so I think that's going to be a huge hurdle for me as well.
I'm 21, I currently live at home in Winnipeg with my parents while attending college (studying to be a library technician). My only "dependent" is a cat named Domino (who has cerebellar hypoplasia). :) I aim to move out of the house hopefully by next summer, but we'll see! I'm very much a book nerd (books! BOOKS!), I play tons of video games (mostly MMOs and RPGs), and am very into activism.
