Thread: 20 X the points on girft cards?
-
Fri, Oct 7th, 2011, 03:49 PM #1
Anyone know if this work? I usually buy a $50 gift card before buying my stuff and last 20 x the points day I purchased a $75 gift card AND i got 20 x the points. I used them up right away assuming that shoppers head office would take them back. But does anyone have an exact confirmation if you do get it? I'm a little hesitant to do it this time because I don't actually need anything I just need the points
hm..... what should i do?This thread is currently associated with: H&M, Shoppers Drug Mart

Buy the shoppers gift card, then turn around and buy the gift card you want with your shoppers gift card, youll earn points and get the card you want.

Not necessarily... I've been to a SDM (in Barrie-on Mapleview) and they wouldn't let me use a SDM GC to purchase other gift cards. They also wouldn't let me purchase a SDM gift card with my credit card.
I'm thinking that in the past they've had problems with fraud or CC/GC theft and this is there way of managing it.
Those whose shop at a store are in luck if they can do as you suggested, but not every store in my experience allows this sort of thing. Bummer that a few "bad apples" ruined it for others
