A tiny cross-border brag
1/2 hr in CVS ran like this:
got several coupons from their coupon machine
1 was - $2.50 spend on anything
1 was - buy 3 greeting cards and get a 4th free (up to $2.69 value)
Also in their flyer - buy 3 greeting cards get $3.00 back on your next purchase
So.....bought 4 X .99 greeting cards = 3.97-2.50=1.47-2.69 (from the card) so had to buy MORE to cover the overage -
got a chocolate bar and a bag of mints and paid something like .75
Then got the $3.00 back and bought 2- 9Volt batteries (for the smoke detectors) on sale for 3.99 for .99 .
A nice little detour while my husband bought gas.

Have you checked out the CVS bloggers? They are amazing, most of the time.

$0.75 oop is not bad at all!

Just came back from PA and have a bunch of Smart Source coupons from this Sunday's paper if you want to trade. Not sure how often you go over shopping...:)

Great brag! I live near Toronto, so the time and expense of a shopping trip to the US might be worth it for me.
Whenever I think of US shopping, I think of clothes, and that isn't enough incentive for me. But, when I know that I can get these kinds of deals, I'll be more inclined to do the travelling!

awesome brag!
I like cross border shopping but I admit that I fall off the coupon bandwagon when I go stateside simply because I don't have coupons to begin with and it can be overwhelming to try and keep up with Canadian AND US deals at the same time--especially since there are different rules down there. LOL.
