My SDM brag tonight!

I needed some retail therapy after being in bed with a bad cold and ear infections for days, so decided to head out to SDM for the 20x points deal.

Bought a $50 gift card first (500 points). I went over $50 though because I bought some extra things.

My purchases included lots of Degree deodorant and men's Dove shampoo (for X-mas baskets), Spectro Jel Cleanser and bonus moisturizing cream, Mutibionta vitamins, coffee creamer, tinfoil, mayo, etc.

My total before coupons said $147. I brought it down to $70.00 using coupons, plus tax ($16.38) brought the total to $86.88.

Regular points: 1300
Product bonus points: 24,000
Total points earned today: 25,300

The bill says I saved $97!!! Also got a $10 scratch card!

I'm hoping I'll get the 20x the points to be added on October 19th. Not sure what my total will come to, but I think I will at least break even when bonus redemption time comes around at Christmas, plus I have lots to put in baskets now!

It was fun because the cashier was new and I taught her all about coupons and what sites to go on, etc. She was shocked at all the coupons and how much I saved. I love teaching people about couponing!!!

Brilliant about the gift card. If I got that for myself to use, I wouldn't always be pulling out the VISA for every $5 purchase and still get the points. I'm loving it!
