I love SOF
My husband and I are making a huge effort in cutting back, saving and reducing debt. I went back to work part time in May and was looking for $$$ saving ideas which is when I found SC. Thank you everyone for all of the tips and info, I was really nervous to stack and coupon at first but now it is so natural :-). Anyways, now I coupon and research and hubby does the shopping. We only shop one day per week now and if we do not get it on that day, too bad we do without until the following week. Anyways, today he went to Save On Foods and did a happy dance out. Total cost $88.61, OP $46.26 and $2.00 of that was tax. This is for our family of 4 for the week as we already did our meat run for the month. Included were diapers (free), Special K bars (free), produce for the week, 4 Litre Homo milk, 12 pack of yogurt, cheese, Shampoo and deodrant as well as eggs. Without you this would not be possible so thank everyone so much! I am still shocked I can get diapers for free - wish I would have found this site 4 years ago.:lolsign:

I am so happy that you are saving money. It's really hard to only shop once a week, we seem to run out of milk, bread or something mid week. I am truely very happy for you. I am glad you have come to SC, there is so much to learn here. Have fun and keep on saving.

Nice savings, it's so great to be able to save and get things for free!

Free diapers??? I've never managed that before. Would you mind sharing the details?
I shop at SOF all the time too. The cashiers are always great.

I used to love my SOF. But the recent changes in their coupon policy makes it harder. How did you get diapers free? I was there tonight and I deal reasonably well despite their changes. Huggies Slip on's were on sale for 10.99 and I had 11.49 in stacks x 4....the lowest value was 1.50 from Smartsource insert and they would not adjust it down to 99cents...therefore I paid 99 cents for each pack of diapers - still an awesome deal but not free! :( I do still like shopping there but its just harder to get things for free now...it was good while it lasted!

In my experience SOF generally will not adjust coupon value (i.e. adjust from $1.50 to $0.99 to get an item free) - I was once told by a rude CSR that it was because "she did not feel like or want to" even though I did not ask for an explanation. We stacked the Huggies yesterday, $3.00 and $1.50 mailout, $1.50 and $3.00 insert, $2.00 printable. My husband generally goes first thing in the morning when it is not busy and is very friendly with the cashiers. He hands over his stack and they do their thing, I guess yesterday he lucked out :) Everytime I go in I always check to make sure my stack is o.k. and I'm always told they are most concerned with exp date and different bar codes.
I used to get mailouts for Huggies when we had our son and then they stopped. I called Huggies and they told me they only send the mailouts until your child is 2.5 yrs old and then they stop. They put us back on the mailing list and since we missed the last mailout sent out $6.00 in man coupons which I thought very nice of them :) I didn't know this so hopefully this helps some of you
