I'm a newbie too!!! With some questions

So after watching the TLC show for what seems like forever I googled if it can be done in Canada, brought me to this site. I lost my job and my DH doesn't quite make enough to support us without cutting drastically on bills. My DH and I have been coupon hunting and printing coupons for about a week now and have already gotten a little stash going.
We went to Metro last night to get some Hot Chocolate for the kids and managed to find some Carnation (light 60% less calories) for $2.49, reg $3.99 and there was a coupon inside for a free Aero bubbles 135g which is like a $4.19 value we bought 4 of them lol.
We're also thinking of doing some shopping down in the states but we're trying to figure out the duty and stuff with bringing items back. Does anyone know about this?
I'm also so confused by the coupon trains. I'd like to learn how they work but I'm not understanding. Is there a link that I can read to get better aquainted with them?

Welcome to SmartCanucks Trains are like a coupon exchange; they go from one person to another, and each person takes out coupons they want and puts in coupons to pass along. Some are structured so they go from and to certain people, and you have to put in coupons from a specific person's wishlist. Some for newbies include a lot of basic coupons, and some are child or animal specific. It all depends on the conductor (ie. the person in charge the train) and how they want their train to work.
