Question About Views?

For example
If a post has 250 views
- does it mean 250 different members have looked at it or could it be 50 members who each looked at it 5 times?
- do guests register in views?

I always feel bad when someone has taken the time to post a flyer/deal and there will be 300 views but not one person has put a thanks for taking the time to do this

Guests, Google Search Bots, your own views, a member looking x 5 all are individual view, when you reply and it goes back to the page, its another view
