Hello all.
I regulary shop at Metro in Quebec, and there we got the M points cards. When I do a freebee run (using my FPC and get a 0$ bill) I always got the M points of the transaction. So the M points are awarded before any coupons reductions. That's a great place to use FPC.
Hope that the tip helped. Feel free to move the thread if it is in the wrong section. This thread is currently associated with: Metro

Me too, I do the same thing with the FPC especially if I have bonus points coupon (ex: 100bp when you spend 15$) Like this, I spend less than 15$ and I get the bonus points

The M points card it's only in Quebec because elsewhere Metro give AirMiles points. Here in province of Quebec, IGA is giving Airmiles and Metro got the equivalent to PC Points: Metro points. You can have the M card by asking it on the Metro website (http://metro.ca/metro-et-moi.en.html).

Métro in QC give more points than Iga with Airmiles, so I always use my FPC at Métro

Thank you, this is a great tip as I am always deliberating on where to use my FPC (which store is easiest with coupons, etc), but this gives Metro the edge

Unlike PC points you do not need a credit card to get the points you get your points no matter which way you pay and they often have bonus points on products

Yes I always, always use the fpcs at Metro... I usually wait till there is bonus miles on the item... Like for example a couple of weeks ago Metro was offering 15 bonus airmiles when you bought 2 cases of coke... so I got 30 bonus am without spending a dime!! I love Metro for this!
