I'll send you a document given to me by my sister-in-law that took a couponing class last spring.:top:
Thanks
If you need any more info just give a shout out. .com is pretty helpful too, she's in Ontario but her blog has lots of couponing info on it.
I am in need of this too...I'm not entirely sure of what I should be doing to save the money I want to save...
The website you are currently exploring has so much information on it. I would suggest you check out the Frugal Living Wiki, there are a lot of answers there. You sort of just need to pick something and learn about it and the chips will all start to fall in place. It's definitely a learning experience.
The most basic rule of thumb is to collect coupons. Collect all the different coupons you can. If you won't use them, trade them for coupons you will use. You can learn about trading coupons in the wiki.
Next, after you have the coupons you want, wait for a sale. AnneDougherty posts a weekly thread in the Canadian Shopping Deals and Flyers forum called "The Official Hot Deals and Coupons To Use With Flyers Thread" (link is to current thread) in which she lists all the flyer items and matches them with coupons. Make sure you thank her for this amazing resource, she puts many hours into it for free.
This will help you make your game plan for your grocery shopping.
Remember that you probably won't walk away from the store with 97% savings, you are more likely to start with 40-80% and slowly get better at it.
There is a ton of information out there about so many different things that it is virtually impossible to list everything you need to know in one post, so check out that wiki page and get a notebook!
Oh, and welcome to smartcanucks! :flowers:
Ps, please PM me your address so I can send you a bundle of coupons!
Thank you so much for the site links...I know it was originally tlcg44 but it really helped me as well...
