Starting to make lists - Christmas cards, decor, baking, etc.
Thinking about getting some new ornaments.... our tree is always pretty much the same, even though we all like it the way we do it..
About SIX weeks to go!

[QUOTE=walkonby;4087554]This thread needs a bump, everything Christmas you say?
I do dread dragging the ( artificial ) tree upstairs more and more each year. Guess I need that big PUSH to get me in the festive mood.
Wow. Were we separated at birth?!
I was feeling the same this year..just blah about Christmas and told my hubby I may not even want to put up our big tree and just get a new fancy one, maybe a feather one, new ornaments, so what does he do?
He puts up our garland on our front post, lights on the roof (we've never done that here!), and the other day I find two lighted DEER in the front garden!
Sigh....so I guess we'll lug the thing up again this year and if he wants Christmas, he'll get Christmas...it'll look like Christmas threw-up in here! I'm off this afternoon for new decorations, so hah!
I also have a ginormous 7 1/2' tree that we had in our former home (the one our DD and her family have now) to get rid of...it's so full and gorgeous, we even had to remove the lower branches to get gifts under it! Of course, our DD doesn't want it...they have one of those icky "skinny" anorexic trees...

My girls have started watching the Christmas shows. A Year Without a Santa Claus has always been my favourite.

I can't wait until the all Christmas music radio stations start! Only fifteen more days, and then it's Christmas music all the time!

Can't believe i gave into my kid.i got out the wreath and a few things for outside and he saw the tree and all the garlands.needless to say my tree and all decor is now up inside...cute thing he said was "best tree" when i put it up sans bulbs and decorations.just a star on top and the lights.pics to come when i decorate it...
now that i sit and drink hot chocolate from my new keurig i bought myself (i am one of those bad people that buys things before christmas ruining it for anyone buying for me) i am glad i did this because the snow is not going to stop anytime in the near future.already up to my 2 foot high deck.Last edited by TudorChick; Fri, Nov 18th, 2011 at 05:22 PM.
