Yes I make my own. They are really easy to make once you know how. Google how to make Christmas crackers and you will get a bunch of pages with instructions. I use toilet paper rolls and wrapping paper. It's bascially just wrap wraping paper around toliet paper roll and snap and glue. Then glue in the ends (which I use index cards cut and rolled to give a nicer shape than a roll cut it half) and tie ribbons on each side.
One by one, the penguins slowly steal my sanity

Does anyone wear the crown during Christmas dinner? This is not a rhetorical question, I'm serious. I really don't like wearing the crown at Christmas dinner. Love the crackers, the prize, just not having to wear the crown.

I've made Christmas cracker for years. Mine are fabric and go with my place setting. Reuse the same fabric and ribbon every year. I don't put the crown in because my husband hates them. I do put a scratch ticket, joke and Lindt chocolate in each one though.
Now that you say Micheals doesn't sell the cracker part I guess I've got some phoning to do. Maybe buy some cheap already made crackers and take out the cracker part?
