Less than 5 years ago,We spend about $2500 for a LG plasma 50"HDTV,but yesterday its broken down

.I am very disappointed.Just called a guy for repairing he said its cost $400-$500.
So we have to buy a new TV.Need some suggestion for TV,only want to spend $800-$1000 this time.

Get a TV with 1080p and refresh rate of at least 120 Hz. Samsung is a good name...they have their issues like every brand out there. You need to check which panel with Samsung....panel quality is better on some than others.
TV size according to viewing distance:

In the $800-$1100 price range, you can get a 46-47 inch LED 120 Hz 1080p TV. Costco has a great return policy.
46 inch Samsung LED UN46D6000 for about $1050 plus taxes:

This is suppose to be the deals section. This forum is so poorly moderated.
