I'm not familiar with the GT locations in edmonton, shop at the one in the fort (kind of small, but still works for me).
Anyway, while shopping at GT check this out:

Happy Shopping and Savings Poirot :)
I've only been to 2 locations: victorial trail and 12508-132 AVE. I find the latter one is bigger, clean and organized.
I Have been in 4. 3 up on the north side. Victoria Trail, 156 ave, and 132 ave, and then the one on Stony Plain Road. The one on Stony Plain Road has the least stuff of the stores I have been in.
Thanks for the tips.I'll be going the 12508-132 Avenue in December on my $1 Greyhound trip.
I've been to this Giant Tiger 12508-132 Avenue many times, but no others to compare. However, I've rarely bought anything at GT, as Super Store is just north of there 2 blocks and often prices are better at RCSS. I guess it just depends on what you want. Shoppers is just West on 137 Ave & 130 St and they are usually quite friendly, Safeway is there too. Save-on is north on 127 St about 12 blocks. Also, generally close are two Sobeys, 113A St (Castledowns Road) & 156 Ave and 97 Street & 132 Ave (Shoppers is here too, but they are sometimes rude). London Drugs is slightly East on 132 Ave & 95 St. Zellers is across the road south from LD. Let me know if you need any more info on this area of the city.
Thanks for letting me know where all these stores are located.Unfortunately I will only get it on a 12 pm bus and leave on a 6pm bus.I also have my Mum with me who is a senior. She tends to whine and complain when she gets tired of walking. When I'm by myself there is no problem going lots of different places.
I quite like the GT on 40th ave and 114 street. It just opened last spring in a former safeway building. However it is the only on I have been too, so nothing to compare it to. They always seem to have deals in the fresh grocerys, when shelf life is concern.
I went to the Giant Tiger 125 St and 132 Avenue yesterday it is a lot bigger and better.Giant Tiger on 150 St and 101 Avenue would have been better if they took over the whole Goodwill building.
I have been to the GT on Victoria trail quite a few times and I enjoy it.
I found 5 dollar bikinis there in the summer which was a godsend since I did not want to spend $30.00 on one!
Also bought $10.00 sandals that I loved more than my $40.00 ones that I bought elsewhere.
They have cheap underwear there as well. $5 bras! I have tried a couple but some have been too big for me. I have a small ribcage (30 inches about), so 32s have to be on the first hooks right off the bat. Which stretch, and then don't fit. More often than not, the bands are too big so I have to purchase more expensive ones.
If you youre pregnant and you're spilling out of your bras, this would be a good place to go! Or growing daughters!
I don't go very often. Once every 6 months probably. Might be due for a trip there to get some cheapie sweaters to keep me warm!
Nothing like cheap warmth :P
