I think this one is similar to Tide, it's seems that some stores get their own sized product to reduce competition. Tide was one of the first companies to start downsizing and they went to ridiculous lengths...then they started making the super-sized boxes (at much greater prices, of course).

McCain Superfries are now 750 gram from the 1 kg, but you can get the big honkin' 3 or 4 kg bag of it.

Oh my gosh, yes. I remember eating KD when I was younger and being served a bowl of the stuff - it was filling and nothing like today. Can hardly call it pasta, just melts in your mouth - and not in a good way.

In regards to the Kraft Dinner, I've noticed that i've had to reduce the cooking time by a couple minutes in the past year alone. If i follow the directions on the box it's mush.

I'm adding Dempster's Bread to this. Not sure what the weight was before but it is ridiculously smaller now.

Tim Horton's cups. The small size will soon become the medium. The new small will be called the shotglass.

That is just awful!!!!!!! And really greedy in my opinion. There are so many families having to live on budgets and expect the product not to shrink. And what is even worse....is that they do it in such small increments so that the average person who may not pay attention to these fine details would not EVEN notice.

They should look like this ----->

Here's some items that have changed over the years:

Breyer's Ice Cream - was 2 Liters, then 1.89 Liters...now 1.66 Liters (Chapmans has been the one holdout; they are still 2 Liters)

Green Giant frozen veggies - was 1 Kg, now 750 grams

Minute Maid punch and juices - was 355 mL, now 295 mL

Stovetop stuffing - don't remember what size it was, but it is now 120 grams and doesn't serve more than two people

Knorr and Lipton dry soup mixes have both been downsized

One thing I'm surprised about is Kraft Peanut Butter, the regular ones are still 1 kg.

Please feel free to add more to this.

Baby Formula changed (Nestle Good Start Concentrate)
Cans were 385mL I believe - now they are 359mL - same price, too...

    Baby formula and diapers.

Can't recall exact amounts but they're pumping out the formula in new drop in inserts for tubs and I know they're smaller that what came in the cans. Naturally the price hasn't gone down.

The diaper packs keep getting smaller too. We'll be potty training our kids at 6 months if the packs get any smaller.

We just bought some medium coffees at the Tim Horton's in the Calgary airport. I thought they got the order wrong, it was such a small cup. Tim Horton's has a milder coffee and is cheaper than Starbuck's, now I wonder about the value with this latest downsize.

I thought they weren't changing the sizes but adding a new extra large and just getting rid of the small?

But I heard that awhile ago and haven't really kept up... so maybe I heard wrong?

    Edit: Yeah, here:

But that was in August so... maybe things have changed.
