Well after finally getting to sleep after 2:30 am, Chris' alarm went off at 6:00 am... He resisted the urge to hit snooze, knowing he had a mission to go on, so he sprung right out of bed and got dressed.

After gathering up the gift cards (and forgetting his shopping list! Off he went!

First stop with McDonalds!!! He took the chance and ate inside. One Egg&Bacon McMuffin combo with coupon for free upgrade to McCafe drink (Deluxe Hot Chocolate). Since you could only get a small and not wanting to stop again, he also grabbed a large coffee to drink while waiting. He was out of McDonald's at 6:50 am.

Drove down the street to SDM and there was not ONE PERSON THERE!!!! So he quickly changed lanes (no traffic that time of day anyhow!) and went to Esso (which had a Timmies there, oh well!) and grabbed a Toronto Sun to read while he waited.

He went back to the parking lot and still no one there, just a guy sweeping the parking lot. Chris pulled into the Handicapped spot right up front and then grabbed his warm lawn chair (left it in the house overnight) and plunked it down right by the "IN" door! He then returned the warmth of the van and drank his coffee and read his paper..... Not one person arrived until about 7:55 am, by then there was maybe 4 people there but everyone accepted that Chris was first so they let him in the door first!

Once they opened the doors, Chris grabbed a cart and started heading towards the photo department. On the way was the Maxwell House Coffee, grabbed 2, and the Pot of Gold Chocolates, grabbed 2... then as he got to the photo centre, he asked the one girl around there if he could get a PS3, she told him the photo centre did not open until 11:00 am!!!!!! Fortunately, before Chris had a nervous breakdown in the aisle, the girl asked someone else and said "Ooops sorry she is here, she just has to get the key!" WHEW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So while Chris was waiting for her to get the key, he went and grabbed the ID Coffee Creamer that was on sale and he had a coupon for, the noticed a clearance rack and found some gum on there. Once he found out the pack of gum was $14.99, it was promptly discarded!

The girl came back with the key and asked how many Chris wanted, he said one and she grabbed it and asked if he wanted anything else. He said no that was it, but started going through the pile of games that were $19.99 each and settled on Grand Theft Auto.... He said it was the only game for PS3 that even remotely inteterested him.. whatever! They had NHL 2012 but it was $54.99 he thinks so that is on the list for redemption day....

On the way back up to the checkout, he grabbed 2 9V batteries that I needed and a bag of Crispie Mini's that were on sale as well. The girl from the photo shop said she had to walk him up to the front with the game but Chris just said "Throw it in my cart, I am done anyways." So she did....

So off to the checkout he went:

Pot of Gold Dark: 3.99 SALE
Pot of Gold Dark: 3.99 SALE
    EasyPix 9V Battery 2 pack: 7.19 SALE
    Schneiders Bacon $2.99 SALE
    Schneiders Bacon $2.99 SALE
Quaker Crispy Mini BBQ $0.99 SALE
    Sony PS3: $249.99
Saputo Cafe Inspirations Coffee Creamer: $1.99 SALE
PS3 Grand Theft Auto: $19.99 SALE
    Maxwell House Coffee: $5.99 SALE
    Maxwell HOuse Coffee: $5.99 SALE
    2 SDM Plastic Bags: $0.10

    Coupons:

    Coffee Creamer: $0.75
SDM Gift Card from Monday's WUB $50 event: $10.00

    Subtotal: $295.39
    McGoofy's Freaking HST Robbery: $37.20
    TOTAL for 12 items: $332.59

Payments made by SDM GC: $329.73(4X$75.00)plus Chris had one with $29.73 left on it.

    Total OOP: $3.06

Now the BEST PART...... THE POINTS!!!!! I actually typed everything below this and forgot to add the most important part!

    Anyhooo......

    Regular Points: 3060
PRODUCT BONUS POINTS (FOR THE PS3): 10,000 and someone said I would NOT get them!
    TRANSACTION BONUS POINTS: 58140
TOTAL POINTS EARNED TODAY: 71200!!!!!!!! By far a record for a one day event at SDM for us! Of course a $250.00 PS3 goes a long way towards that!
    CURRENT POINTS BALANCE: 98728
    NEXT REWARD LEVEL: 95000

SO OVER THE TOP ONE CARD GOES!!!!!

And he still has 16,000 BP from GC pending plus his 20X for Melatonin pending as well. Plus that does not include my card either! Gotta do the math later!!!!
So off to Wal Mart he went... 1 item on the list: Bush Beans!!!!

He found them no problem in the grocery aisle and found them marked at $1.39 per can (it was more then that in the flyer was it not? Never did look!). So he grabbed 2 of them and went to the quick cash and handed over his 2 $1.00 Bush Bean coupons and walked out with 2 cans of Bush Beans for $0.74 OOP! Even the cashier commented what a great deal it was!!!! *LOL*

Since it was not 10:30 yet, and Chris and I won 2 Free Harvey's Hamburgers last night at the Brantford Blast hockey game (Blast score 5 or more goals, you get a free burger!), Chris hit the OLG Casino Brantford again to kill time. We went last night after the hockey game and I lost $80 while Chris won $65 playing, of all things, CASINO WAR!!!! Yes they do have that in casinos! So when he went in, he signed up for his first Winner Circle Card. He got $5 in slot play and then a coupon for $10 in slot play or table games play for the next time. Last night he used the $5 slot coupon, ran it up to $21.05 on one machine, then sat at the machine I was playing and promptly watched the $21.00 turn into $0.40!!! So as he walked to the machine to cash out his measly $0.40 ticket, he saw the War and it was only $5 minimum, everything else was $15-$25. He only had $60 so he started with that and ended up with $125 at the end!

Today, not so good. He got his $10 coupon for table games this time and ended up on $10 Blackjack, he ended up losing $50 before he got up and left... Easy come, easy go!

After that,he booted it up to Harvey's and got the 2 Original Burgers: OOP $0.00!!!

So not a bad morning for Chris... I had a good morning too, I slept the whole time! Of course, I have to work tonight 3-11, he will be in the easy chair trying to steal cars, shoot drug dealers and prositutes etc... Well better on a tv screen I guess then out in the streets!

Now how many more hours, minutes, seconds until Mega Redemption???? Chris wants to go on December 4th, HIS BIRTHDAY! (hint hint everyone!!!)

So if you don't see us on here for a while, you know where to find us!

    Did Chris get GTA IV?

The boys play that, I'm betting they can kick his arse

BTW, you need to do one mission to get the cell phone that allows you to enter cheats in the game as they are phone numbers you have to dial - do the easy one which is driving the uncle around town (I think it was) to get the phone.

The codes are minimal for this version, and you cannot fly planes because the map is so small (but you can fly helicopters)

But most importantly, awesome job on the points!

Yes he did GTA IV-- At first he didn't know what he was supposed to do or anything so he was getting bored of the game and was actually going to take it out to EB games on the Sunday and trade it in for NHL11.

Then we found an online tutorial that gave you the missions and stuff, so it made more sense to Chris after that. So he played it all night on Sunday and though he still has not completed mission 1, he is keeping it! I thought it was hilarous watching him try and drive the cars around and smashing into stuff (I told him it's just normal for him to drive that way!) But then he went for a smoke and let me try it out. He stole the car for me and then I was on my own. By the time he came back in, I had flipped the car 4 times, run over about 10 people then managed to drive it OVER a bridge!!!!! Apparantly I am not much better then he is!

So he did keep the game but went out to EB and bought NHL 11 too. It was only $9.99 so not bad! Bought it used.... will be much better when we get a second controller so that we can play each other in NHL11!

Also thinking of getting NHL 12 if SDM has it on Redemption Day. That one you can put your guy through the glass, over the boards and even the goalies fight in it!!!! LOL

Too much fun, gotta get this work done on the computer so we can go play a few games!

Always check ebgames first - especially since they give you a guarantee on the games you buy. If you buy it at a regular store, open it, and discover a problem, you're SOL!

If you check online for games through the site, it will tell you what they even have in stock without having to go there first; it works for me

Yeah Chris already knows this. He checked online to make sure they had the NHL11 in stock.

He also got the one year warranty on it for $2, so if anything goes wrong, they replace it no questions asked. He also said that their prices were not bad compared to other places he has looked at for games.

great job. It wasn't too busy when i went too. I showed up there around 11am. I made it from 20k points to 93k points that day. With the extra 8k added on the 25th i will be ready for my very first mega redemption.
