Today was a planned shopping day to get out and about (doctor says to try and get out a bit)
My son woke up and "still had his headache" from last night. Actually he wanted to go on the shopping trip with mom and help find coupons. I had to tell him if he was too sick for school then he was too sick for shopping. Suddenly he was ready to catch the bus for school LOL.
Stopped in at Shopper's Drug Mart to the crankiest cashier ever. She took one look at my coupons and out of her mouth cam "This isn't the US you know" and I thought OOOOOOOh Boy here is someone that hates the TLC show. So even though her manager said I could use all my Listerine coupons she kept reading and reading and said NO only one. I didn't argue because there is a one per person/purchase on them and I knew with this woman I would not win. I could have gone back in over and over and made her day miserable however I figured someone had already made her day miserable or she just was miserable to begin with. So out I came with ONE Free Listerine for just the taxes 65 cents. OH and every single coupon display had been taken down from the store. There had been about 12 earlier in the week but they were ALL gone. I thought coupon hoarders, but later stores showed nope just they decided to take away coupons.
Then off to check out the Giant Tiger and see what they carry in sizes and items and brands. Found really nice cash gift cards for 99 cents for a pack of 6 with an extra envelope so I picked those up since I thought they would be nice for coupon trades over the holidays :D the perfect size and pretty too, with one extra envelope for a train I am just sent out :D
A fellow needed a boost for his car out side of the GT and no one was stopping, so I asked Hey got any help, he was so thankful since he was late for work that I would stop and give him a boost that he gave me $2.50 and said "thanks grab a coffee on me sorry I dont have any more money to give you, but I will do something nice for someone else." So my good deed of the day got me my timmies hot chocolate for the drive home.
Stopped at the Rexal to check out what was on their clearance rack and see what coupons are out and pick up a few more from recent tear pads. I do not clear tear pads but if they are thick I will pick up 5 or 6 of the same coupon. Grabbed up a bottled water for 65 cents and off to my next stop.
Hit the walmart, and was stopped dead due to lack of product still at this one location. But I did find Motrin on for $4.87 with a $3 off coupon so a $1.87 for that and then picked up some label stickers for all my juice bottles from Oasis that I keep peeling the labels from to get the coupon code LOL need to know the flavours for the kids. As I was checking out I saw Febreze Extra strength travel bottles for $1.97 and I had a $4 when you buy three so I only paid 1.91 for all three of them.
A tiny haul today but it did get me out of the house :D I am now waiting for my weekly fliers to arrive and hoping there is the redplum that is due this week. Nice of them to put one out for my Birthday :D on the 26thD

Nice brag! Don't you just hate cranky cashiers...it's not like they own the store. The store still gets the money!

Sorry you had such an awful cashier. Some people should not work in customer service. Sounds like a fun day full of great deals.
