that's not good! i hope Kellogg's straightens that out. I'm sure they will. Everything I've read on here, they seem to have great customer service.

Yeah, I'm sure it'll get figured out.

Maybe it's like a PC one a while ago... some just weren't activated on their end until day(s) after some received it. *shrugs*

    Lets us know!

I used mine with no problems. You have to make sure that you pay properly when using them. For example, if you have to pay $50 then you pay $45 first and then use the gas card as credit for the remaining $5. I don't think you can use more than one card at a time because of this.
If you want to use them all at once, I think you would have to do separate $5 purchases because the amount owed cannot be more than $5 when they swipe the card.

That's not good! What exactly was the problem? How did you try to use them? Did you try to pay at the pump or inside the station? Did the clerk know they could only charge $5 on the card?

    Aren't these $ 5 pre-paid Master Cards they are sending out ?

Since they can be used at any gas station , I am sure they can be used at any store where MC is accepted as its very unlikely that they can program the card only to be accepted at gas stations .

Yes they are. I just got one in the mail. As the others above said, you can't try at the pump and you can only use 1 at a time. And, no, you don't have to buy only $5 at a time but as leslie said, you need to pay the remainder part first and then use the card for the $5 left owing.

My husband tried to use all 4 cards for one transaction, I wasn't aware that you have to use one card at a time. Maybe that was the issue.
I will call on Monday and post what was the problem.

The problem is that if you pumped $20.00 worth of gas, (because you had 4 x $5 GC) and tried to pay using the GC's, the pump, or register (which ever method you used to pay) assumed that you are trying to charge the entire $20.00 on the FIRST credit card used. This will of course decline because there is only $5.00 on the card to be used.

Those pre-paid mastercards are tricky little boogers. If you have ever used one and had a small balance on them and want to use it up you have to spend the EXACT amount available on the credit card in order to use it. You can't be over, even by a penny or it won't authorize.

So for future reference, like others stated, either fill up 4 times separately for $5 or you will be declined. The register (pump) doesn't know that you have 3 other cards to pay the balance.

Yikes, I still have my one attached to my Fruit Loops and was concerned about this whole process. Do you have to send in all the codes at one time? Or can you send one in and then the next time you buy, send another in?

I don't see myself buying the family sized cereal again anytime soon. Will they accept just one offer?
Sorry for getting off topic, but I don't know if I want to even get it if it is this complicated.
May have to trade it lol.

You actually have to send them in separately, so sending in just one is not a problem.

    Thanks.
I just read the fine print on the form I have and it states that the vards have to be activated by phone or online.

Did you activate the cards by chance? And possibly that is why they did not work?

EDIT** re read and you did activate. Sorry
