My vent:
2 Canadian Tire managers in Markham, on Markham rd and 14th Ave were totally incompetent today with respect to reading coupons.
I tried to purchase multiple bottles of Palmolive with the manufacturer's $1.00 off coupons and they refused to put them through all on one transaction. It clearly says "one per item purchased" on the coupon and the buffoons were completely unable to grasp this idea--to them, multiple bottles of Palmolive are all one item.
It's not the cashier's fault, I understand she would be in trouble if she put it through but I'm astounded that even the idiot managers can't read English!
Seriously, why the heck would I go back there when I can so easily price match at WM? Canadian Tire needs to keep up with the times and learn to train their managers (if not their cashiers too) to read and process coupons.
Long story short, I left with my coupons and will be PM'ing at WM. I did get my 3 free bottles (scratch card). Sorry CANADIAN tire, I'm deserting you for AMERICAN WM!This thread is currently associated with: Canadian TireLast edited by robin1234s; Sat, Mar 3rd, 2012 at 11:52 AM.

Many Canadian Tires only allow one coupon per transaction. When I shop there, which is very infrequent, I just smile and say 'that's okay, I will do several transactions.' They'll take the coupons...it just requires some patience. I don't think it's the way their cash registers are set up, it just seems to be their somewhat odd policy.

I sent them an email and told them I'll be pricematching their flyer at WM from now on.
The only time I'll go back to CT is for more FREE stuff!

I must be lucky so far. The two near me have been great with coupons, just not with printables.

CBC Marketplace's "Canada's Worst Customer Service." No surprise Canadian Tire was among the worst: http://www.cbc.ca/marketplace/2012/c...stomerservice/
