Very big chance i'm moving to kingston in 2012, and I wanted to see who from here, lives there. :)
I lived there when I was 1, and my family moved back to Ottawa the year after. So I really don't know what's around, what stores they have :lolsign:

Me!! lol
Pretty much everything except: Sobeys, Ikea, Murale, RCSS
I'll add more if I think of any. :)
I live here! :D
I'm close, and my daughter lives right in Kingston.
Restaurant wise, we dont have: Tuckers Marketplace, Jack Astors, Perkins, Great Canadian Bagel or Lick's (does Ottawa still have theirs?)
We're supposed to be getting a Jack Astors though. Its in the works to be put in downtown.
I live outside of K-town, but go to Kingston often to shop!!!
Nah. I heard the only delay was that the theres arguments about the look of the place and how it will fit in with downtown. :P
Yep, we have 2 East Sides.
As for the Ottawa restaurants: Tuckers is downtown in the market. it's a higher end buffet style. Great Canadian Bagel is out off Hunt Club. Lick's was at one point on Bank St. but I dont know if it's still there or not. Kingston had one at the foot of Princess St but it closed years ago.
I'm here too, an Old Stone, 50plus years in K-Town. I love Kingston. We have a pretty good live music scene, and some big names come to town now with the KRock Centre.
Of the two ESMs, the one on Division & Weller has better food.
Beautiful waterfront, and the Limestone City Blues fest in August is a steal at $10 for the weekend. Free music in the park in the summer, and the cheapest cruise going is the free ferry to Wolfe Island.
LoL Thats all so true. I do love this little city of ours. Going to Bath on Canada day is rather fun too though. Kingston has its own celebrations but.. I love the atmosphere and things in Bath that day.
i live here,
im from ottawa and moved to kingston 3 years ago for school
I'm also in Kingston, and loving it! We've been here for a year and a half, will be for at least another two, maybe more (hubby is military, we'll see what happens in a few years. Might end up back in Petawawa again...).
