Haha Anastasia, EXACTLY!! This is what she said to me when I said to her the trade makes no sense, and you dont trade penny for penny, direct quotes....

"Not everyone has the same approach to trading, but the very basic thing is that coupons ARE traded value for value. Otherwise, how is it beneficial to me? You're the one who wants my FPCs, you have to make it worth it to me."

The audacity to expect me to pay that! I DO trade coupons as close to face value as possible, but not GC for coupons...why bother? just go buy the product!

Angel, yes...no sense at all. I definitely try to trade regular coupons dollar for dollar and even always throw in extras..for FPC's I always trade more than face value if sending or requesting coupons...like I would have been willing to send this trader like $15-$20 in regular coupons for the the 2 FPC's that were worth $5 each....or a gift card for like, half. Everyone needs to keep in mind that these are all pieces of paper that we get for free!

How are we valuing the new General Mills Snack Pins? Someone today asked me for $12.50 CT$ for enough pins to get 4 boxes, plus one extra snack pin. Seemed way too steep, I can get granola bars and fruit snacks for around a dollar a box when on sale / with a coupon. Just wondering if I am way off here...

I do not know a lot about this promotion but I know we can buy granola bars for $1.99 - $2.49/box when on sale without a coupon so even at the higher rate with no coupon your cost for the granola bars would be $9.96 out of pocket for 4 boxes.

lol, I am RRRRLF Old El Paso FPC kits. I am working with several people trying to get these...trading other FPC's, trading $ off coups, etc etc. I recently attempted a trade with an SC'er here who wanted me to send her a $10 gift card for 2 of these fpc's!!??! LOL, WHY, on gods green earth, would I go out and buy her a $10 gift card so she can send me two pieces of paper to get $8 worth of products? Lol, I told her this and then she asked why I didnt offer an $8 gc then? Ummm hello??? Does that make ANY sense at all to anyone else?? Is it just me, or was that ridiculous? Absolute greed. Wow.

I agree with you completely. Have only done 2 trades so far and 1 RAOK and was a great experience. Have not had much luck trading otherwise.

Does it depend on the sample? The weight to send? I have a TON of samples I want to trade off for wishlist items but not 100% sure what I should be asking for in order to be fair.

For me samples are not worth trading because if the cost of shipping. But maybe I am missing a market??!!lol

I get a discount on my stamps because they are all a company write off through my husbands company so that isn't so much my concern I just wanna make sure what I ask for is fair.

Depends on the sample, the size, and how much the person LF it values it.

For example, I am RRLF face cream samples. They usually come in sachets or small sample tubes so shipping is usually no more than 3 stamps. People have asked me what I value them at and I've traded usually what amounts to $0.25 a sachet. Some people have wanted more for each, others less. Some people have wanted stamps on top of the coupons, and others haven't. I'm pretty easy going so if I want it bad enough I don't care about details like that and generally just want to know what they think is fair.

What samples are you trading? I'm always LF samples
