The Thermos Foogo ones, all the way. They are metal inside (plastic ones can hold smells, stains, etc). Walmart has them for a reasonable price usually, there is one with a spout top that's okay, but the one with the straw when you flip open the lid is awesome! It's a few pieces to take apart the lid to clean but it's all dishwasher safe and just amazing for kids - we've been using ours since Foogo came out three or four years ago and have never had a leak with the straw one (the sippy spout ones we have had leaks with). If you put cold water in it for five minutes and then dump it out and add the milk, these will keep the milk cold up to 12 hours.

Good point about the cold water first. My fiancé always puts hot water in his thermos before his coffee or tea to keep it hotter longer. Go figure the same would work for cold

If you put some water and ice cubes in the thermos over night, I am sure it would get it nice and cold in time for the morning.
My father is obsessed with having cereal for lunch (lol) so he takes milk every single day. He has gone through a TON of thermoses. From what I have seen, the ones that unscrew at the top with a wide mouth are not very good. He keeps buying the ones that you push the button in thait allows for easy, controlled pouring. They come with a lid, so the kids could use that as their cup!
