Thread: a little bit of inspiration

I was at Rexal on Saturday to get some baby wipe refills that were on sale, and to look around for some things on clearance. I noticed a young girl, may be around 10, pushing a trolly with an open binder with coupons. She was pointing out to her mum some sale deals and suggesting coupons. It was inspiration to see that someone so young is interested in helping her family to save money. They were in the household section, so I looked through my coupons, and I gave her a stack of really good ones , as I am not going to be able to use them ( I am moving to England soon with my family). The girl was really happy

That is cute. My girl does the same, and she collects coupons as I do as well.

I think it's a good way to educate her not to be a prince$$.

Good for her! Kids are so much more aware than we think sometimes. And congrats on moving to England that's amazing! It's my dream to move to Europe. How did you make yours come true if I may ask?

well long story short..I was born in Europe-Bulgaria..came to Canada as an university student, and two years ago I met my husband, who was here to work from England..and now we are all moving back to England with our baby and a dog, which I think will be quite an adventure ! I am also excited as I found some freebie sites and voucher code sites for UK

10 years old?
Awesome.
Nice ROAK.
Congrats on your move to England - yes, a real adventure.
Wonder of the 10 year old was doing a school project or something for Girl Guides?

Would the woman in the medicine aisle have spoken like that to the teen SCer if Mom or Dad was there too? I'm glad that teens don't take adults' attitude seriously/personally in such situations. Sometimes another adult might pipe up to tell the first one to get lost or "leave the person alone."

That's a sweet story. I wish I knew about couponing long before now. I could've really helped my parents out. They were frugal and stocked up on sales... but think how much more they could've saved with coupons! And I think it would've made me feel important/helpful, which kids like to feel.
