Scan-able coupons?
I just joined the site but I have been here before browsing and I am not a regular coupon user (but hope to become one!)
I tried to do a search and also looked through a few pages of threads in this forum but didn't see anything on the subject so I thought I would pose the question here.
Are there any stores that you have come across that are accepting coupons on smart phones that are scan-able (QR codes etc.)? I'm not that up to date on this technology but I have heard of scan-able coupons I just don't know how wide spread the acceptance of them would be? I know most stores have to turn in a physical coupon to get there money back from the merchandiser but I thought maybe some stores were coming on board with scanning coupons and having the information stored electronically instead of physically.
I have to admit this would be an amazing perk since my printer is currently out of ink and with the cost of printer ink it's almost not worth the cost of the ink to print the coupons that you do have to print off yourself. I would love to be able to save a folder of coupons on my phone and have the retailer swipe them from my screen and it's enviro friendly
Anyways I was wondering if anyone had any experience with this and where.
Thanks!

So far all of the grocery stores only accept physical coupons they can put in the cash, the only one I have used from my phone was the Kernels GC code

Occasionally stores offer store coupons that do that I think, like future shop, but manufacturers don't yet. It's not very widespread yet at all.

If you download the michaels app there are scannable coupons.
Also it's totally worth it to buy new ink! My printer has paid for itself over and over again due to coupons!

I sure hope not. I bet the cost of having a smart phone monthly is more than printer ink!
