Yes, I'm pretty sure that's the one I have. I've never used a pan with a rack before, and I found that the drippings kind of burn and smoke when they hit the pan, not sure if you're supposed to put water in it first? Anyhow, after that first time I did.
The non-stick coating did not work well. My mom then attacked it with steel wool, so the coating is very scratched. I still use it, but I put parchment paper in the bottom of it first.
You also have to be careful about the handles, they stick up quite a bit. While it makes it easier to remove from the oven, it's easy to hit your arm on the hot handles, I've burned myself on them more than once!
In hindsight, I would not buy a non-stick pan.
I have one similar - not the PC brand.
After three uses, the 'coating' started to come off, and now when I use it I have to put foil all around the inside - really a pain.
It's wonderful to use the vee-shaped rack, though, for chickens, ham, roasts - and to hold potatoes when roasting meat, too.
And, yes, to roast anything, you need to put water on the bottom of the roaster.
I'm actually checking the pre-Christmas sales to get a stainless steel one, or just one better made... Til then I'll stick with my other roasters. I do have my mom's stainless steel heavy-duty turkey roaster, but it's huge, so I only use it for a big turkey.
So I don't think it's worth spending even $30 for those on sale... my opinion....
I think I paid $19 for my PC one. And try the parchment paper instead of foil in the bottom- not only is it compostable, it won't tear like the foil does, you can salvage some of the browned drippings if you use that kind of thing for gravy (like we do!).
thanks guys
