I have two kids that are very sensetive, hearts of gold when it come to sharing and donating. So my son and daughter decided that they where going to donate with their own money to the christmas baskets for their school.
So with 40$ in hand coupons in the other and of course their father they left for the mall. About 30 min later I get a call from my son asking me if a Gillette gift set would be nice enought to give his tutor. So I told him it would but to check the price 1st.
So 3hours later they came back with 8 bags full of food, cleaning products and shampoos.
My kids ran up stairs screaming ``don't come upstairs and don't come in Franci's room. `` I started laughing. They had my birthday gift and they din't want me to see it.
So once this little show was over with they came down and showed me all their finds. We took out a box and proceded to filling it up. We needed a 2nd one and tehn a 3rd. I was pretty proud of them and my hubby could'nt beleive that with so little money they could get so much.
After taping the boxes up my son told me he had 3$ left and no gift for his tutor. In a flash he gets up and runs to the garage where most of my stock pile is. Came back with 7 idems from the gilette area. And then he looked at me saying mom that's all I can afford. Sorry! with a smile from heaven.
So please tell how can I say NOOOOOO to my son. lololo
Both my kids are looking forward to giving their 3 boxes on Friday. This thread is currently associated with: Garage

What a smart son-remembering to ask if he could shop from "Mom's store" in the garage.
Priceless.

I am a proud mom, but never expected my kids to respect what I do as much. I think that after shopping with their dad they realized that every day to day items don't come cheap.
And what can I say when it comes to donating their own time and money for others, nothing other then thumps up to the both of them. I think I have done a great job at raising them and that if they keep it up as young adult I think I'll have no problems, well at less no major ones.
Thanks every one for you comments, I've read most post to the both of them and I think they both realized that there is more good people out there.
