does anyone know if has anyone heard if the fee for getting a new Passport is going up in the new year. Right now its $87. My Mom heard its going up $200 or up to $200?? can't find any info on this. My MIL needs a PP for next year if the price is going up.. we'd like to find out exactly when if we can wait to get hers done, we will. if its sooner rather than later were going to get her in next week. as long as she has applied for it before the new year were good. she doesnt' need it until next summer.

I did a google search and the only info about a passport that high in price is for the electronic passport. Not the regular one.
Someone else would probably know better, but an increase of over double seems unlikely.

i decided to look into this since my boyfriend needs a new passport to be able to use the birthday gift I am giving him monday
from what i can tell, no fee changes, at least not listed anywhere on the passport canada site (unless I am blind)
however, the passport office is moving to cherryhill mall as of january 30, to better serve us.

I heard:
5 year will be $100.
10 year will be $160.
But not 100% sure.
