Hi guys
I tried to use the Nivea $2 coupon on the pure and natural lip balm but the cashier said no because it would make it "almost free" (i.e. it would have cost .99).
It says any product face or body. Is lip balm not considered a face product?

I had this problem at WM.
Tried to reason with the cashier, she wasn't budging, and then asked for a supervisor.
I asked them where the lips resided, if not the body.
They couldn't formulate a reply, but denied me all the same.
I phoned the store, and the manager agreed they were wrong and comped me a $20 GC for my trouble.
And you better believe I bought my lip balm when I went to pick up the GC

lol good for you. I pressed her and she said "face is the brand name." Ummm, I dont think so? She wouldn't budge either. I didn't want to argue with a 16 year old cashier while there was a long line behind me so I just left. I'll try at Walmart. Thanks

I've seen other discussion on SC threads where it's be said that the lip balm falls under Nivea's Lip Care line, which is different than their face and body products line. I didn't realize this when I used the coupie - the first cashier accepted it but another wouldn't. Then I came on SC and saw the varied responses others got including the "Lip Care" explanation. I haven't used the coupon since and I haven't followed the prior discussion on how it's been going for others. anywho, hope that helps shed some light on why some stores aren't accepting it.

Hmm. Geez, so many product lines. If they didn't want to include the pure and natural lip balm with the pure and natural coupon, they should've said so. Couponing can be so confusing sometimes

I would go to another store location and see.. but honestly, lips are on the face but when I hear facial products, I think of items like cleansers, lotions, toners, etc,...

If you call the nivea hotline, they will tell you that the coupon is not to be used on the lip balm, it is for the hand and body lotion only.
We all need a little sunshine every now and then
