Hi Vikki013, I don't know, but we went to Sears for a similar promo back in Nov; and yup, boy do they charge! I went in with a free sitting and they were trying to sell a $350 package. In the end, we paid about $10 per sheet of pics.

In my experience, the photographers there were really inexperienced and the photo looked horrible. They are very overpriced too..

Walmart does the same. Once your photo shoot is done, they start going through the packages, and they start from the most expensive ones are $399+. I kept working them down ("I don't need all those. I just need 1, ONE photo.") until I got to the $7.99 package I initially came in for.

This offer looks like you will get the one photo/collage for free with the free photo session. Of course, once they are sitting with you to show the pictures so you can make your selections, they go into a sales pitch to sell you the huge collections.
If this is your first set of baby pictures or first birthday and you have a ton of relatives to give pictures to then it's not a bad deal to get a collection.
Myself, I will never be going into Sears again.
I've been getting pictures done with them since my son was 6 months old (nearly 4 years). The first two times I didn't have a coupon.
But then they started mailing them to me and I found them in random places so I had one for every other time.
The pictures were always good; only a couple exceptions. No problems using the coupons. Really not much sales pressure to buy more than I wanted; they made the pitch but would leave me to pick what I wanted.
UNTIL The coupon that was in a few magazines in Oct or Nov.
The coupon was: $10 for a photo shoot + Prints & CD.
*10x13 Wall Portrait
*1 - 5x7 & 4 Wallets
*Single Image CD
*Any Poses & Enhancements
*PLUS 20% off any additional reg. price purchase
Great, right? Christmas pictures.
Get the prints done in shots of my son (I don't want a 10x13 of me
) Get the CD with a picture of the two of us and use it to get prints done at SDM for xmas cards.
: I've picked the shots that I want.
: Ok I'll come help you in a minute
: I've got this coupon. I want the 10x13 in pose 8 in black+white, the 5x7 and wallets in pose 14, and the CD with pose 24.
: No it has to be all the same pose for this coupon package.
: The coupon says any poses and enhancements...
: But you can only choose one
: No, It says only the 5x7 and wallets have to be the same. (It was in the small print and I understood that because they are on one sheet)
: No, I've been doing these coupons for 2 months. This is what it is.
: Well then you've been doing it wrong for two months.
: No, it's one pose. It's like another offer we do - $9.99 for 5 sheets, one pose.
: Ya I've gotten that one before. This one does not read the same.
: This is one pose for the package.
: Fine. Do #8 for the whole thing.
: Is there anything else? You'll get 20% off with the coupon...
: NO
Thought I could go to another location and they would be doing it right. But NO!
Same freaking thing.
But my son is in school now so I have school pictures and I guess thats all I need. If I want a picture for Christmas cards I'll be going to RCSS or WM.

It is free but you will have to listen to the sales pitch for their collections $400, 300, 200, 100... I've never really felt pressured.
You can just say - ok let me look at the poses and pick what I like.
Then call them back over and say - I have this coupon; this is what I want.
The lab also prints random extras that they sent back with your order. So when you go back to pick up your order you have the option of getting those for only like $5.99 each sheet. Sometimes they are done with enhancements so you get it a lot cheaper than if you had originally put it in the order.

Not to put them down too much, but I'll never go back, even just for my coupon ethics... the salespeople/photographers were openly deriding the other customers in front of me for using a coupon, saying "here's another $11.40", (which was the with coupon total), clearly within earshot of the waiting area. And then I gave them MY coupon... Awkward!

8I went yesterday, had the free shoot and got a free 8x10 multi image print. They do try to sell you other packages but thats the whole point to giving away the free one, to get you in the door. You dont need to buy anything. I will be able to pick up the print in 3 weeks and the pics turned out great i cant wait.
