Good to know . I actually dropped in there tonight after work but, thought I'd wait until tomorrow night to think things through before buying anything (just to avoid spontaneous purchases that I don't need ). Love the bike idea someone shared here...my co-worker's 7 year old asked for one for Christmas but her mom can't afford it at the moment. I'm so excited to pick her one up tomorrow!!
I just like to make it as easy and pleasant as possible for the cashiers .~RRLF $0.75 Organic Meadow, $1 Almond Fresh~

Ha, I like to make it easier for *me* XD lol!
I've had the language card pulled on me a few times. Some Quebecois(e) are really hardcore about it. Thankfully, not too often these days, but before it was usually a sneer at the coupon *sigh* One even went as far as to say that English coupons were not allowed (would accept this time, but not again) because the cashier couldn't read English. I told her no worries, I'll find someone that can understand English next time o_O Bah.

I got myself a sewing machine for $30. My New Year's resolution is to learn how to sew, so I think it was a sign And we got the T-Disc holder for my DH for $12.50.

Well, we got back from our Zellers, and we scored fairly nicely. We weren't LOOKING for anything, which is sometimes the danger of these things, buuuuuuut...
I've been looking for a new razor. Like the old one, but the charging station broke in a move several years ago. Still usable, but it was a Phillips higher end one (circa $200) and it plugs along just fine. Always been thinking I should keep an eye out. Sure enough, my new Phillips was $220, got it for $110.
Wife decided we could use a portable BBQ, since we do seem to have a couple times a year where we could use one. Never really thought of it, but getting one for $85 rather than $170, couldn't resist.
Called my sister, since she's moving to a new house in a couple months. She's at Zellers now doing some checking to see what she might need. Called my mother, and she'll go look for a toaster oven. Hasn't had one in years, but she did mention she's been thinking about buying one.
Wonder if this is Zellers first run at getting rid of stuff before they clear out in favor of Target. Seems odd to have brand new seasonal stuff like BBQs available for the promo, unless it's still just last years stock. Xmas stuff should go REAL good, since I'm not sure Zellers will be around for next Xmas.
PS - Does any Zellers sell Power Wheels? That's actually what we went looking for. Always thought they were neat, but too expensive, but to get one brand new for half price, we had to try. Turns out my local Zellers doesn't have any. Always thought they did.

I wandered the store for a bit and couldn't find anything to buy that I actually needed, so I picked up a pajama set, that was already on sale from $30.00 to $15.00, then got another 50% off. I also picked up a few grocery items and the cashier rang every item in at 50% off. When I asked her if the coupon was applicable to only 1 item, she said she was told the entire purchase. I didn't want to question her about this, but needless to say, I went back to pick up some additional grocery items at 50% off. I'm not sure if she got this wrong or not, but it was a great deal for me.

Wow, a lot of people viewing this thread! I normally stay clear of Zellars but considering using this coupon and cashing in my points I have saved for years.

Hmmm, speaking of seasonal, anyone tried to pick up a major excersize item yet? Treadmill? Those can get pricey, wondering if they can use the 50% off on those or not (don't want one, don't have room for one, but was actually thinking of what Zellers might sell outside of excluded items that would be quite pricey)

Picked up a pair of dressy boots with this coupon
Regular price 49.97 - 50% off instead of 40 because the signs were still up from a previous sale - 50% off coupon - 10% SPC discount + tax = $12.93
