I called and complained.I was told they would call me back. Strange. She then called me back and said that they had put up the wrong coupon! Arg! I told her that I don't believe that they did a misprint, they should have been honest with their customers and said that they lost money on the promotion and had to stop it...not because of a printing error. She then told me to go to the store and talk to the manager. I asked her Why? Aren't you the head office, aren't you the one who decides and issues the coupons, what good will it do to go complain to my local manager? She didn't have an answer...and appologized.
I told her I knew it wasn't her fault but it's just pretty low that they expect us to believe that they made a printing error. A printing error would have come out on the first day not 3 days later.

That's very funny correction to think of it. They should really just list exclusions like small appliances etc. Because otherwise, it is an incentive for customers to NOT buy things that is on the flyer this week because it's not like you can take a sale item (say 25% off) and ask to pay the regular price and get the 50% off. Totally BAD planning and full of opportunties for some people to take advantage of them.
So the circle goes - poor planning -> gettng taken advantage by a very select few -> stupid decisons -> hurts the rest of the good customers
Way to go Zellers!

Those people should be the ones who have to deal with the police for coupon fraud. No, not the one who was joking, lol.
I think a lot of people abused this coupon, and a lot of people didn't. The bottom line is, most people are ticked off about being lied to. Those that can't believe all the "hate" comments, must not mine having customers being fed bs. Zellers should eat crow and admit their mistake instead of thinking that we may believe that a misprint was pulled after several days. They should have made it so that the coupon could not be copied or saved, and could only be printed once by each fan on their facebook. Or put out only so many, each with a unique bar code. Companies should know by now that if they put a coupon out there like these, there are going to be people, that ruin it for the good people (like myself) who used the coupon once. I don't care if someone used it twice at two different Zellers, or two different days...whatever....but people who printed off tons of them ruined it for the rest. Also, cashiers who made mistakes such as giving customers 50% off their whole purchase and not just one item. But that's not the customers fault.Last edited by leda; Thu, Dec 29th, 2011 at 03:05 PM.
