Its so sad how using this coupon actually opened a bag of bad apples showing how zellers has become a dump.
When I went to buy my tassimo 2 days ago the cashier was so rude to me when she first saw the coupon when the woman in front of my presented it at the time of her purchase. She said "Oh i have never seen this coupon before." I kindly replied to her "its an online coupon =)" and you know how she responded? "CAN YOU LET ME READ IT FIRST?!
then she had to ask customer service about it for like 5 minutes and came back to process the women's transaction then while doing that told me "you can't use the coupon for that it is a home electronic."
I was already pretty ticked off at her attitude that she had before so i told her "this isn't an electronic its a coffe maker its housewares" and you know what she says "no it's home electronics"
I didnt want to argue with her I told her to ask a manager about it and she says "I'm not calling a manager you can walk over there (customer serivice) and ask them because I am not going over there again!"
wow. I walked myself over to customer service they called a manager for me (which I think turened out to be a supervisor or asm) and she helped me process my transaction but the disapointing part is she didnt seem that concerned that the cashier was giving me so much attitude about my home-elctronic-coffe-maker-tassimo and she just said she'd look into it. =/

I have heard so much of the "bait and switch" from my co-workers during boxing day from so many stores, but I don't think Zellers is doing it. It's not like they are offering you a higher priced item to customers for items not available, they are going out of business and trying to get rid of everything.

I have no idea what "publish" means in legalese - although, i'm assuming posting a notice at each store would probably suffice.
I don't think Zellers really did anything wrong here - it did seem "too good to be true" - i did make out with a Tassimo (can't beat $40), but am not surprised it didn't last.
I dealt with a customer service manager who stated that the actual cost of that unit was $74 and that Zellers was losing money with everyone sold...

like someome else said they realize their mistake after 4 days oh come on as if,it's NOT a mistake...and i don't see what's the big deal on % off items as someone else said they are closing anyway...usually by the time they close everything is sold for dirt cheap anyway...and it was too good to be true but someone made the coupons at their end and if they really didn't want it to be used on items other that full price they should have stated it from the start...

I guess what it boils down to is none of us were entitled to use it. it was a priviledge coupon. too bad they didn't work it properly from the beginning. would have created alot less confusion as well as upset for those that didn't get their 'bargain deal' in time before the correct was made. however im no better off than before it was issued. and although i could easily get something that is regular price and save 50% . that in itself is still a good deal.

I have received a free "item" from best buy on something they kept advertising and I kept going to the store like an idiot, and when an employee let it slip that 'oh we get only 2 per store' I was upset and complained and was contacted by best buy rep I think out BC to let me know that my complimentary "item" will be shipped if I shut up about it.

^ yeah but nobody goes to zellers unless they have no other choice LOL. So they have to start early, or they'll be paying severance with blenders and shampoo.

Some stores aren't closing at all. I don't know why Target didn't buy them all out I do think this has a lot to do with getting rid of stock, but if it were just about getting rid of stuff before they close, the coupon wouldn't be valid at stores that aren't closing.

i think it was just part of their last 'festive' specials. and unfortunately it isn't making them look good at all right now. and wont' help im sure with continuing sales.
