Where do I forward my resume?? I got nothing better to do!

Chris didn't mind the change either, he bought stuff that was regular price anyways!
    Is it baseball season yet?

Which one isn't is the better question. Every time I've shopped there, besides one teenage girl I got, a very sweet older lady, and a very enthusiastic newbie, I've been treated like crap.

The lady I dealt with today, I can't remember her name, but she was of middle-eastern background, and her name seemed to be of strong middle-eastern in origin as well (the same way a name like Gustav would make you think of Sweden, or Mario might make you think of Italy). She has always been absolutely terrible to me. If you've shopped there before much, that's probably all you'll need to know to know who I'm talking about. Whenever I see her around town she just looks like she has indigestion. Not a cheery lady.
Thanks for your reply Chantel. I found the Kitchen Aid in CT flyer and headed to Zellers today and they are not price matching ;(

I saw their notice by the cashiers that the coupon is for regular priced items only. I wonder if Zellers ever considered that they are further advertising the coupon by posting the notice. This sounds like it might still be a loss for them if more people know about it. Might as well have kept as is until Dec.31st.

Toilet paper for a crappy situation.

Be kind to the cashiers. I am sure they are getting a lot of grief today. It is not their fault they work for a poorly managed company.

I don't see why alot of people are upset, it's so rare to even see a coupon like this and to want even more on top of it is kinda greedy. I don't like to throw out that word but it's by definition.

We're not missing the point at all...we get it...you feel Zellers should still honour their coupon with the original terms. I haven't used it yet (plan on using one tonight). I would have liked for them to honour their coupon with it's original terms, as I want a $700 Christmas tree that I saw at my local Zellers for 60% off. But, alas, I'll use it to get my godson a $90 regular-priced Lego set for his birthday on Sunday. No big deal, still a great bargain. To me, this coupon is similar to the 50% off Michaels coupons (can only be used once per customer, and only on regular price). It's such a rare coupon indeed, that it's a nice treat to get a deal on something you need/necessity. If you think about it, how many times have the big ticket items gone down to 50% off anyway. And, I'm happy to see Zellers has changed the rules, but is still honouring the coupon. Remember, they own the coupon. If they wanted to be jerks about it, they could've stopped honouring all together.

Went to Superstore tonight and asked if they would accept this coupon as a part of their "AD Match Guarantee" or pricematch the discounted price. Had to have a manager come over but he said they would accept it. Same thing happened at Walmart. So I picked up a toaster oven at Superstore and a dinnerware set at Walmart.
i called them, they said they dont PM zellers, only supermarkets

    Hi, Patty, and everyone else!
Lots of posts to read over since early this morning!

Well, I snoozed, I lost - I've been sick, and haven't been able to leave the house, so no KA for me, boohoo....

Lucky everyone who was able to do their shopping whilst the original coupon was able to be used!

Kudo's to everyone that got to use the coupon b4 the retraction!! I went today to pick up my vacuum and didnt find out til at cash. The manager was really nice tho, he had provided a phone # for head office to some ppl in front of us, then I asked him if he could take off the sale price on the vacuum so I could use the 50% off. He LOL because no one had ever asked for a price increase b4. The vacuum was 99.00 onsale for 88, I'd rather 50 off then 11. He tried multiple times but could not get the system to over ride an increase price. He was going to put it aside for me until tomorrow when the flyer ends, but it was a price cut on until Jan 26 =( Very good customer service for what I am sure is going to be a very long day for zellers employees

I had to argue with the cashier! I explained it was on 1 item and she insisted it was on the entire recite (around 10 items)… I let her win and left with a healthy conscious since I did, at least try..

i have a feeling zellers didn't think this through.. they didn't think about what people would really BUY with the coupon (things like kitchen aid mixers), they could have added more limitations to the coupon when writing it (they did limit no electronics fearing that TV's and cameras would go flying off the shelf) say a 50% off UP TO a set amount(heck entertainment book coupons have that wording!)...

i could understand if they put the coupon out right before they started liquidating the store... BUT at this point everything what they sold with the coupon they have to take a loss on and restock for at least a few more months before they can start having bare shelves

My friend managed to get me a half off shower curtain since mine is getting gross
My boyfriend and I found an 8 piece queen sized bed in a bag on sale for $23.98 and we got 2 XL towels for $7.48 each. So without the half off coupon we still got some pretty decent deals. I'd like to gt a large bag of cat food before the end of the coupon though
