Couldn't agree with you more nadiabreckon. I used to work in customer service and customers consider that statement "I'll call my lawyer" to be their big threat. Neither myself nor anyone in my family, or for that matter any of my friends, have a lawyer on-call who we can contact because we were denied getting Tassimo coffee at 50% off. For that matter, if you have a lawyer on retainer you could probably pay full price for your coffee maker. Just getting a very simple will drawn up cost us $500. I would guess that threatening legal action against a company would cost at least that or more. Especially for something so trite.
Yes, I agree that this promo was poorly thought through by Zellers (they should have linked it to HBC Reward #s) but the way that it was abused by many customers was far more greasy than what Zellers did. I love getting a good deal, but I have self-respect too.
Depends, my uncle is a lawyer, whenever my mum has a major issue, he will happily send a letter on letterhead on her behalf

I agree, I am extremely upset about the whole error part but just focusing on the actual coupon, it was a great one. After the $5 CT coupons, $5 Toys r Us coupon, and $5 Gap coupon, this 50% was great. I hope other stores like SDM, PC start joining the bandwagon.
