Update on kitchen - counter tops installed today

I got my new counter tops installed today. Pic's in post 3. Just have the doors left to do, and get my new microwave.

I have the exact same stove!
At first I was totally against a ceramic/glass stove top, but given that I didn't have a choice, I'm glad we got this model.
It's fantastic :-)
We too got a deal on it as we bought it with a matching Samsung fridge. Great purchases!

Now we're on to counter tops and have settled for CaesarStone quartz, a little pricier than granite but worth the money!
I can't wait to see your kitchen completely done!
We've been working on ours for about a year on and off. Doing the black splash and counter tops will be the final touch. :-)

hollyq everything is coming along nicely., and I commend you for considering the expense when choosing the more expensive stone over another.
I know nada about those though, I have a crap counter top, lol.

So I finally finished tiling the backsplash. It was a huge job! I had some issues cutting the tiles and had to wait to get a special blade ordered in for me, once I received that, things went fairly smoothly. Today I will seal the tile and grout, then finish painting and clean up everything. My condo is a mess.....sigh, but it has all been worth it. I have added the pictures of the tile I installed myself (has huge grin on face) :P What do you think???

Congrats holly! I loved the very last pic ( the lighting in the pic showed the colour of the tiles best) , just beautiful!! I have always been such an impatient person...I am wondering if I could wait through the chaos during reno's. My nerves would be shot, you must have nerves of steel and the patience of Job!!

Fabulous update!!

Thanks Donna, it's all coming to completion, and I'm really happy with the outcome. I was able to get rid of that huge ugly cabinet that I had sitting in my livingroom. It was holding all my kitchen stuff because I didn't have enough cabinet space. We completed the painting in the condo today too. I can't wait, about another week or so and everything will be totally done and I can sit back and enjoy my new condo :)
