Anyone ever froze a brick of cheese? I understand that you are able to but what I want to know is... does it thaw nicely or is it mushy? I have a bunch of coupons left that expire at the end of the month and I wonder if it is worth buying in bulk.
come out crumbly,it all falls apart good 4 cooking,, cheese last a long time if you dont open the package
You probobly shouldn't have to freeze them, most of the best before dates on the cheese I got at NF are for August, However when you freeze cheese it is a little crumbly so I usually shred it and ziplock it in medium bags to freeze and use it for cooking. Great for casseroles and pizza etc.!! It works great.
i freeze mine already shreeded....it lasts loooong time....
if anyone has extra coupons please let me know as we by this cheese all the time thanks
i got 17 blocks of this cheese (7 mozz 10 cheddar). the mozz is good till june and the cheddar is good till sept!!! i will wait a while before freezing it depending on if we have any left near about a month before those dates...but we like cheese and i doubt any will be left. if i need to freeze it i will grate it first. crumbly cheese is a pet peeve lol
Thanks for all of the info everyone. Much appreciated.
I freeze cheese all the time, I haven't had any problems with it. We don't eat the large blocks fast enough, so when I get one of the huge blocks of cheese, I cut it in half, air steal them both - one goes in the fridge, the other in the freezer.
where did this coupon come from?
