for my first gel application I found I took a lot of time prepping my nail, and cutting cuticles to hopefully make it last for 2 weeks. I love that you can spend the time getting the polish on flawless and it doesn't dry until under the uv. (Which was nice to get all the brush strokes out with the metallic shimmer). I am in love with this manicure, and gel polish!

I decided to try this next, the difference between sunlight and indoors is crazy. Indoors mine looks a lot like your swatch but in sunlight it brings out more gold tones

I love the metallic shimmer of the platinum rose. Such a dynamic color in different lights.

Day 8 of wearing so kissable and is still flawless. Will keep it on for a few more days until the grow out starts to bug me.

I am trying to find a good storage solution for all my polish/tool/lamp, any suggestions? Currently I have everything divided into old huggies wipes containers, but need something bigger and easier to access.

Do the UV lamps also help to cure/set regular nailpolish?

You can use the gel base coat, cure it, use reg polish - allow it to dry fully, then gel top coat but it doesn't cure the reg polish. The gel base/top will keep it lasting longer but people say not as long as a full gel manicure

9 days of quo so kissable was painstakingly removed this evening. It was flawless until I was working away in my kitchen and grated the side of my thumb while zesting a lime...stupid sharp micro plane

I am not sure if it is the dollar store acetone remover, or the 6 layers of the gel but it would not come off! Soaked for well over 20 min and it softened it a bit, nothing peeled off. I had to scrape it off, and even file off the bits left over. I used all quo on that mani. One thing that is different from the quo kit and RCM kit is that quo base and top coat are the same bottle, but you use separate primer first (not cured under light) on bare nails before base coat.

I decided to go all RCM this time with Best Dressed. I find gel polishes very thin, and RCM to be quite a bit thinner than the quo ones I have tried. This is 4 coats. It is a nice plum/wine not too dark with a bit of gold sparkle. Again it is different in all lights here are a few pics. Last one is not mine, just different light.
