Today I'm wearing Essie, I'm Addicted (that is actually the name of the colour, as well as a statement I guess! lol). I love the colour on, but it goes on pretty watery. I used Essie All in One base coat, about 3 coats of colour (the last one definitely a 'little' thicker than the first ones) and then a coat of Seche Vite. Love the colour and there's no bubbling that I've noticed from the thick coats of polish.

So I have a question for all you ladies...
I am a -only ever wore clear nail polish- type of girl but seeing all these beautiful colours I want to try some out.
Here's the thing, I wash our dishes everyday. Does the high quality, Essie or Opi have better wear for doing dishes?
I bought Essie Ballet Slippers because it's a nice translucent pink and used it while on vacation. But have yet to try it during home life...dishes, laundry, etc.
I realize you all probably have some degree or wear and tear on your nails daily and have to redo them but I'm probably just too lazy to bother, lol.

I am super hard on my nails and pick them as soon as there is wear....bad habit! Light colours will be safer because you won't notice chips as much. Everyone has favourite brands for different reasons. My favourite is Essie and a lot of people like Zoya. These will usually last better/longer than cheaper brands but the cheap and cheerful brands can be good if you just want a fun colour for a day.
A good base and top coat are necessary for sure.
I definitely use gloves though when washing dishes cause that's the worst - with or without polish on!
