Is my Airwick Auto Sprayer busted?

Just after Xmas I found an Airwick auto sprayer with 2 cans (Vanilla scent) on sale at Walmart for $10 so I got one thinking it was a good deal. First of all it seems really loud when it sprays, you hear the gears move, then a loud click & the spray. Second of all I've only smelt it 3 or 4 times & I've had it up for 2 weeks now. I've been right there when it's gone off or a few seconds later & smelt nothing. The fact I have smelt it before though makes me think it's the sprayer itself that might not be working. Anyone else have this problem?
I also bought a Glade auto sprayer because I had a coupon I can use airwick cans in that one & vice versa right?

I've had mine for years now and at first I always heard it but don't notice the sound at all anymore. Visitors always hear it though. I think because you are "in there", you do not notice the smell (I don't anyways) but anyone who comes here says it smells wonderful in my house. And yes, you can use either can in either machine.
By the way, I am an ex Moosejavian
