We bought a front loading set of Kenmore about 2 years ago and absolutely love them. They even came with the pedestals. The best thing about the machines is that my husband and teenagers use them so I don't have to do laundry anymore. Ya!:excited:

aah, laundry :D
That's a fantastic looking machine, KrazE! I am envious, we have a Kitchenaid toploader that was bought many years ago and my husband keeps fixing it rather than buying a new one! My next one will be a frontloader; it's good to read this thread for suggestions.
We have a kenmore set which is made by samsung and almost identical to their set just branded kenmore . We have had nothing but trouble since we got the washer. It never runs to the true to the time ie an "express wash" which is supposed to take 25 mibutes takes and hour and a regular wash is 90 minutes. I.finally had sears out, after being told by the guy at the store that the timing problem wasnt a problem at all the washer was just smart and knew how long it should run. The tech came out took the thing apart and said he couldnt find anything wrong but they have had issues with the samsung so he would get me a new board and i would hear back in 48 hours. That was two weeks ago. No one has the part and they cant find it locally to buy it.
Little ticked about it all because i had to call back to find this out and i imagine i will have to call again.
I do wish we had purchased the king sized washer looking back. We got the size smaller

I won't shop at sears, or buy kenmore products due to bad reviews & experience with them & their products as well; I do, and will continue to be a Whirlpool or Maytag owner.
You can't really believe what the tag on your appliance says. I think that Kenmore washing machines are made by Whirlpool, Frigidaire and LG make their fridges.
You can find out who actually manufactured your sears appliance from it's serial number; the list is here: http://www.appliance411.com/parts/sears.shtml
I can tell you that with 100% certainty that my previous 'Kenmore" appliances that I had nothing but problems with were not Whirlpool manufactured, I believe they were Roper or LG
i have a samsung set (donno the model number) bought them at Futureshop online on a Boxing Day sale. got the set for under 1000 and love them. you can preset the washer to run in the future (up to 12 hours!) so it's amazing, i can set it before bed, and it'll be done when i wake up, throw it in the dryer, and it's done before i have to leave for work! then i can set another one to wash right as i'm getting home from work, adn dry it by the time dinner's done! :) LOVE it. I do leave the door open on the washer htough. i think all front loads should be left open to dry out. we even used to leave our top load open to air out, it just makes sense... it needs time to dry. :)
My new set arrived on Thursday morning and I'm very pleased with it; I have been doing laundry like crazy ever since.
With the old set and the washer problems, just trying to keep up to what needed to be done came first, all the other things I wanted to do as well took a backseat - not anymore!
I've also discovered that since the washer takes such a small amount of soap (about a tablespoon), my stockpile is going to last a couple years LOL
congrats on your new set.
the first few days i had mine, i did laundry non-stop.
it was fun for the kids, they kept running downstairs just to watch it :)
The boys are pretty uninterested, but the cats have been willing to at least stand at the doorway to watch. Of course the shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh hhhhhhhh sound of the water makes them run lol
