It's not in the flyer this week but the 1.89L bottles of Purex are on Rollback for $3.88. I thought this was a good time to use the smartsource insert coupon.

    Purex 1.89L - $3.88 X 2 = $7.76 - $2.50 (WUB2 coupon) = $5.26/2 = $2.63 a bottle

I've only been couponing for a few weeks, so could people let me know if this is an OK deal or should I have waited for something better.

    THANKS!

That sounds pretty good actually…I find tide is usually about $3.99 after coupons for about 26 loads…roughly 15c/load. Whereas what you’ve found is $2.63 for 40 loads (assuming what I found on the WM website is what you found) so it’s only 6.5c/load. I’d say that’s pretty good!

I went to the St. Thomas, Ontario one. The bigger one is about $7.50. The tag on the shelf in front said $4.49 but I knew they were $3.88 at another location so I figured it was wrong and it was.

YAY! I just hope I don't see it cheaper somewhere else.

Try to aim for $1 a litre when it comes to laundry soap. For example that size has been on sale for as little as $3 and when the $3 coupon was available it was free.

However if you need soap then of course you have to buy it but I would not consider it a stocking up price just from the past history of the price of it.

I think it's a pretty good deal! The ONLY detergent we use is Purex, and that's one of the cheaper prices we have seen. The only other time I've seen it cheaper (other than free with $3.00 off coupon a while back) was when Superstore had 4.43L (96 loads) for $6-8 (after a CZ coupon).

I'll be headed to WM after work to stock up. Thanks for the tip, OP!

    I should add -

I am still fairly new to this also, and still trying to get my head around stock-up prices and deals. So much to learn ;-)

Write this down so that next time it goes on sale you can compare.

I would say this is a pretty good deal. I'm fairly new at coupons too and I only use Purex. The cheapest I have seen it is $3 for that size BUT I never had coupons to go with it. So I always figured my bottom stocking up price would be $3 but you've just gotten it cheaper! So way to go! Its hard for me to decide whether I want to pick some up at the price you just mentioned or if I should hold out on the coupons for a cheaper price which may or may not happen before they expire.

    agreed
This is worth purchasing 1 or 2 if you are out of detergent. Our SDM, Walmart and Zellers offered it for $2.99 last October-ish.

I would say its a pretty good deal. I usually look for 2.50-3$ for the average size laundry soap jug.
I think I will have to pop in to walmart this week!!
    Thanks for the tip!
