Thread: Poor products

I am not one too complain, but, I just found out it pays to! I had a problem with a Chef Boyardee product. So I called the "Questions and comments" toll free number this morning to discuss it. Not only were they super friendly, they are sending me some replacement coupons as an apology!
Thought I would pass it along to people that just throw away bad products and take the loss. Plus, if there are problems with products, the company should know... Just in case they need to do a recall.

I complained to planter about stale peanuts in the shell, giving them the store, and all codes on the package.
They sent me 3 x $5.00 coupons. what a deal that was.
It pays to be an honest complainer/

My mom found a hair in a swanson's microwaveable dinner and she wrote to them to info them of this, not only did the apologize in the e-mail but when they sent her a bunch of coupons ( including one for a free microwave dinner from any of their lines) they sent her an apology and informed her on their safety standards and thanking her for informing them

I had a bad can of Green Giant baby peas. well they were all mushy...every one of them...so we call them and they sent us about six coupons. I just finished up using them this past shopping trip...two were for free products...any by their company...and the rest were all 1.00 off coupons.
You are very right about the fact that the companies want to know what is wrong and even RIGHT about their products...this is how they stay in business and grow as a company.

I bought 4 bottles of cascade dishwasher liquid that separated. I called them and provided the product number. Turns out they had a bad batch so they sent me two FPCs good on ANY product. Just bought two 120 pack tubs of cascade action pacs worth 25.00 each. So it's worth it to let them know
Have I mentioned I love coupons??

I wrote feedback to a local Metro a few months back, basically I was unahppy with the service and the constant advertising issues (placing a product clearly in front of a price but in small print it was a different product etc) I complained of this and received a phone call from the manager who after listening to my complaint (I had taken one of the products and got the "Bait and switch" price on the tag, complained and they refused to honor it as they got away with it by saying "Well that's not the labeled item" while that may be 100% true it was piss poor service.
I complained and when the manager spoke to me he wondered what I meant etc. For the poor service I received a 20$ gift card from him directly along with an apology.
