Hey, know this thread is even older than it is, was looking up a review for this site but know of this site which doesn't require any money and has various streams of decent US channels. Main page is live sports, but at the top you can click on Live TV and also Series for various TV show streams. You have to wait 10 seconds before you can press play and then if the main stream is down you usually have options for a couple other feeds of the channel. I think you'll need Divx web player as the only thing before you can use it.
Since I'm new it's called stream 2 watch dot me

There is something better that actually works:

    2. XBMC (Cost: FREE)

I don't know about magictv but I also got sick of paying extremely high fees for cable tv. I bought a digital antenna to try out and I am extremely happy with it! So much so that I have cancelled cable! Wooohoo...no more cable bill! I get approximately 24 channels, most of them in HD and I get all the channels that I normally watch (plus a few that my cable company did not have). OTA, Netflix and Rogers Anyplace TV....I'm set!
    PEACE. LOVE. HARMONY...AND COUPONS!
