    Hi, SCers I am currently a stay at home mom and in need of extra cash. I wanted to work as a cleaning only on weeknds. I am just not sure if do I need to be insured and have a business name to be able to do this. Any help and advice is very much appreciated Thanks

    I don't think? you have to be insured if employer doesn't request it? I think it depends on the community you're in whether people want that from their cleaners. Less likely in smaller towns.

    You don't need a business name if it's just a little side job.

    I would suggest insurance to protect yourself. You break one thing while cleaning or something goes missing and you can be blamed.
