very sad for the engineers and the trainee that lost their lives and the many other passengers that are injured and were no doubt terrified.
I used to live in Burlington myself. I feel very sad for the families. :(

Apparently a derailment happened about 1 1/2 years ago as well on the same track in the same area (no fatalities though). That particular track is only a few years old.
Right near my mom's home too. So terribly tragic and sad for the families who lost their loved ones :(.

these guys had the same hope i think, but when i hear this
exact area of the track had a derailment - 4 years ago,,
i look at the federal gov't!!! what the f*** .

Today, I am sad to learn that the lawyers are circling already.
Still so many unanswered questions. Hope the black box will help.
Ironically we were thinking of the VIA rail deals for quick vacation weekend trips.
I was thinking of using the train for an upcoming workshop.

Via had that problem a few years ago the derailment... Not good!
Heard on the news today it was caused by going 4 times the speed they were supposed to be. Really strange. . .
