Mourelatos charges more if you peel in store. They are fresh and cold.
I find Loblaws and Provigo sells the saddest looking corn ever. They are warm and wrinkly and probably been sitting there for a couples of days.
I usually open it to take a look and then shove them in those clear plastic bags. Then I peel them on my deck so the mess is outside and not in my kitchen.Last edited by couponmummy; Thu, Jul 19th, 2012 at 07:06 PM.

I like buying corn from Mourelatos or Maxi because it's usually cheaper and fresher and closer to me than a farmer's market. They have more customers so they usually have more cold bags out. And most times, customers are waiting for guy to get more in the back so I just wait there with the rest of the customers.
If you're there when the guy is opening up the bag, you get first pick of the lot. And you have to go early in the day, like 9:00AM. I've always been lucky. Don't go in the afternoon, those are slim pickings.Last edited by couponmummy; Thu, Jul 19th, 2012 at 08:20 PM.

Speaking about grocery stores, I find Maxi are more family oriented and often has the best sales. Provigo and Loblaws are more expensive and seem to cater to singles. I don't see mom and pop with kids like I see at Maxi.
IGA is geared towards the connoisseur with their many varieties of freshly baked bread, cheese, dip, deli, etc.

I don't know if anyone here heard/is interested in the new promo of AMT "Opus a l'essai"? It gives you 10 free tickets.
You need to find one of the troops taht is giving leaflets with promo codes and enter it online to get a card with 10 free passes.
I saw them today, 10 min ago, at the corner of Ontario/Iberville (next to the big park). If someone is living/working close, it's worth to go! They had plenty of leaflets so maybe they will be still there tomorrow and next week.

They were doing it last week too, you have to listen to the radio to find out where they will be also. I heard it on CJAD or CHOM .

They do that all summer long.
I can't know where the "team" will be everyday. We have to open the eyes. But, if by chance, someone grab one and don't need it, lmk please.More savings and tips? Go see this site.

Great! I didn't know about it. As usually I'm the last one to hear lol lol
I don't think it will last all summer long, because tickets expire on Sept,7. Also, it's limited number of cards avaliable - 50,000. I have ordered mine today and it was already almost 20,000 claimed. So if you have codes, I would rather hurry up
Annie, if they will be on Iberville/Ontario again next week I will try get you one!

Patty, thanks for the Huggies coupons, I got them today.
On another note, remember when there was the Schneiders sausage FPC for Canada Day weekend? Well, I received my FPC on July 4th...a little too late. So I emailed them as a fluke. They emailed me back saying that they are sending me a replacement FPC valid until the end of August! Pays to speak up.
