I have some good news and I am bursting to tell someone! I found the ideal job!!! 5 mins from DS's daycare, 15 minutes from home, 3 days per week as a payroll/benefits coordinator (this is what I am certified to do) with a great company with great pay and benefits!!! I start at the end of August, so it gives me a few weeks "by myself".
WOOHOOO!!

A question and a rant for you fellow couponers.
I went to IGA extra today and I realized they were modifying the prices for the items in the flyer. I saw this with the customer that was before me at the cash and said to myself I could use the SCOP. When my turn arrived, sure enough two items rang higher. The cashier informed me he was going to correct the price because they had a glitch (probleme informatique). I told him that according to the law, for the products I was buying I should get the first of them free and the others corrected. He asked me if I wanted to talk to the manager, so I answered "yes". He called him and the manager came to the cash and again explained to me that they were having technical difficulties, to which I replied that I would stick to what the law said and also that the store should inform customers of a situation like that. He then started to raise his voice and told me that it wasn't a normal situation, gave the cashier the green light and turned his back on me. His attitude got on my nerves and I yelled as he was leaving, "It's the law." My question is if in this case when the store offers an explanation for their price inaccuracy, one should accept it and not apply the SCOP.
As soon as I got home, I decided to do some research and found out a great thread started by Abouret (Thanks!) in which I learned that if the UPCs are different, they must be considered different products. Had I known...

He was wrong. Not your problem they can't get their computer entries right.
The girl at Ardene's told me the same thing. "The computer doesn't change the price we do"(that one i did not argue because it was not me buying crap it was my friend and she didn't want to cause a fuss)

No matter the technical issue or else, the store has to apply the politic. In fact, the 10$ thing is the fine to pay for not having the right price at the cash.
Complaint to the OPC if he don't give you the right price.More savings and tips? Go see this site.

It's the law? I thought it was just store policy and that different stores had different policies.

Thanks everyone!
BTW, I was taking a stroll at Maxi in the west island as my "me" time and came across the lysol no-touch refills (classic fragrance only) with a pink sticker - so $2.49 each. Since I refill mine (that I got for free), I really thought I should get a couple just in case the original breaks. I got 4 in total (for my sister and myself). There were quite a number left.
