But obvioussellllly the school know better then you annie when you got your kids vaccinated. twitts!
Gardasil...hmmm, boy how they pushed it on everyone in the States some yrs back when it came out. Even on me since I was in my early/mid-twenties! No thank you! And now, lots of complications for certain young girls, no real understanding of the future consequences as well. And the lovely flu shot that they also advertise EVERYWHERE in the US, every year in every drugstore, supermarket, etc., yet if you meet an honest doctor, they laugh the idea of such a shot off. :-~
OK, I will shut up and not share my views on vaccinations :zip:. I don't want to offend anyone!
DS #2 never got chickenpox...he's due for a booster. I hope he never gets it now as it can be dangerous for older boys?
Oh, for those of you with FB, can you help manzervite out here? She's always so helpful posting about all the freebies .

MY son is almost 16 and the vaccine was just coming out when he was born and I told the doc forget it. He got the chicken pox when he was 2,
Yes, chickenpox can be deadly in adults :( I never got it either according to my mother, so...dunno lol.
Mine was about 9 when he got the vaccine for the first time as he hadn't gotten chicken pox yet. His pediatrician recommended it saying something about how it can be dangerous for teenagers to contract it. Can't quite remember exactly what he said though.

I was refreshing the Thinsation page last night after midnight thinking since it's technically March 1, they might release it. No luck and forgot today. Oh well, have never tried them, hear they are good though!
OK, public health cap on (LOL).
The chichen pox vaccine is given when the child is one year old. The name in the vaccination booklet can be Varivax, Varilix or Priorix Tetra.
While back, when the vaccine didn't exist, kids would have MAJOR cases of chicken pox and sometimes died of encephalitis as a complication. Now whith the vaccine, even if a kid has it, it's usually really mild and the mortality rate spiraled down.
If a kid has the disease before one year old, he's considered not immune since the immune system is immature so, vaccination is recommended.
In Quebec, by the age of 35, 95% of adults are immune agains chickenpox. If an adult tinks he never had it but his sibling had it while he stayed with them of if he's a parent and his kids had it, he's considered immune.
If the said adult has no history whatsoever of "contact domiciliaire", it's recommended that he passes a bood test that will confirm or not the immunity. If it comes back negative, vaccination is recommended and is free.
Sorry for the long lecture, it's my job...

I have a question: We have two cats at home and we always have cat hair on our shirt and pants. I try many fabric sheet but none seen to work. Do you have any tips?
We have 3 and frankly nothing works there is alway some hair , i have given up actually and now I hang my clothes but i do wash all the towels and blankets they sleep on seperatly from any of our stuff and that seems to help alot.
Got my order of thinsations in. I also had to sign up my 2 sisters since they are not on Facebook.
Wellan, I am a huge supporter of vaccinating kids. So is my son's pediatrician. I think that in this day and age, we really should not be having outbreaks of chicken pox, measles and others that are easily vaccinated against.
