And I guess those were shag flies then. We were driving all over, including over the bridge/Old Port, and La Ronde and that's where we saw most of them.

Are you near the water? I'm not sure if this is the proper name for them but they're probably Shag Flies. I was driving home on the autoroute Bonaventure last night and I could barely see out my windshield because of them, yech!


My step-father had a heart attack two days ago . He didn't want to go to the hospital because he insisted it was food poisoning. When my mother finally convinced him to go, he didn't want her calling an ambulance because he was embarrassed in front of their neighbors . Because she was so nervous, she gets into a car accident driving him...so he gets to go to the hospital by ambulance anyways. Sigh, you'd think with age comes wisdom. He seems to be ok at the moment *fingers crossed*. Good vibes, prayers, whatever are always appreciated .

Usually in june there is alot down town and if you go to "La ronde" and ride the monster, keep your mouth close or you will eat lot of them! lol!

OMG, yes, it is certainly that one! Was killing them all over in the car as we were going on the bridge!! Even DH was scratching himself and whacking them which is rare, since he could care less over a "few" bugs.

How long does this invasion last? I don't remember seeing them later in the summer when I usually go around that area...

2010ontest, DH and I did exactly that-took advantage of the weather! Went up north and got burned, but better than snow

Anyway, I'm not interested in getting drawn into a vortex of anger and hate. Sally, I'm sorry if this stirred the pot on the forum, but I couldn't not act when I saw all the judging going on.
